After a successful run on the television show Remington Steele, Brosnan took over the role of the legendary British spy in 1994. Incredibly, Brosnan got the role after being introduced to the director, Albert Broccoli, by his wife who was acting in a Bond film. A few years later the role was given to Brosnan.
