Lea Thompson got her start in acting after the famed dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov told her she’d never make it as a prima ballerina. She did make it in acting, starring in the 1980s sci-fi trilogy Back to the Future. She also featured in the films SpaceCamp and Howard the Duck.

Her star continued to shine in the 1990s when she played major roles in the films, Dennis, the Menace, The Beverly Hillbillies, and The Little Rascals. She spent 5 years on television with the show Caroline in the City during the mid-90s. Recently, Thompson has been in the show Switched at Birth, and in the film Little Women.
