When the Washington Redskins signed Adrian Peterson at the start of the 2018 season, it seemed like a desperation move, as they needed to replace injured rookie Derrius Guice. But once again, Peterson proved everyone who doubted him wrong. Peterson is among the top 25 running backs in the NFL in rushing during the early part of the season, averaging just under 79 yards rushing per game.

If you project that over the course of a season, that puts him at over 1,260 yards. In other words, at his current pace, he would run for more than 1,200 yards and double-digit rushing touchdowns. Not bad for a guy who’ll turn 34 years old in March.
