Alvin Kamara becomes the 3rd player in NFL history with 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving
Quarterback Drew Brees will unquestionably go down as the greatest player in the history of the New Orleans Saints franchise, but as of today, he might not be the team’s MVP on offense. Running back Alvin Kamara, the reigning co-offensive rookie of the year, has already run for 1,000 yards and caught 1,000 yards worth of passes in his first 20 games in the NFL, which has never happened in league history.
Through the first five games of 2018, Kamara has 299 yards rushing and 351 yards rushing, meaning he could hit 1,000 yards in both categories by season’s end. He’d be only the third player in NFL history to accomplish that, joining legends like Roger Craig of the San Francisco 49ers and Marshall Faulk of the St. Louis Rams.
