10. Michael Irvin
If you can forget about all of Irvin’s off-field issues, and perhaps some of his on-field antics as well, there’s no denying that he was one heck of a wide receiver. His numbers don’t necessarily stand out among the other elite receivers because an injury cut his career a little short. However, Irving was named to the 1990s All-Decade Team and was a part of three Super Bowl-winning teams with the Cowboys alongside fellow legends Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith.
Even if you loathed his ego, the way he wouldn’t shut up, or his legal troubles, Irvin’s talent on the field was undeniable. His hands were among the best the game has ever seen and his speed and athleticism made him a constant playmaker. Between 1991 and 1995, Irvin had five straight seasons with at least 1,200 yards receiving, surpassing 1,500 yards twice. During that time, he was clearly the best in the league, and it’s no coincidence that it was during that time that the Cowboys won their three Super Bowls.
