Sharon Stone was on the verge of becoming a big star in the modeling world in 1977, but gave it all up just two years later. Stone had moved to Europe to model after she signed the Ford Agency in 1977, but decided to give it all up just a few years later when Hollywood came calling.
Just a year later, Stone was starring in Woody Allen’s Stardust Memories. She’s gone on to star in such films as Total Recall and Basic Instinct. She received Golden Globe nominations for her roles in the films Casino, The Mighty, and The Muse.
