In the 1999 NFL Draft, Courtney Brown was the prototype, Peter Warrick was the gamebreaker, and LaVar Arrington was the next-generation of stud defender, which led people to overlook the dominance of offensive tackle Chris Samuels.

But the Washington Redskins astutely selected Samuels with the 3rd overall pick in the draft (after taking Arrington with the 2nd overall pick), and plugged him in at left tackle for the better part of the next decade.
In what some consider to be one of the best eras for left tackle play in the NFL, Samuels was named to the Pro Bowl six times between 2001 and 2008, before his career ended prematurely due to a spinal condition.
