Another time that (now former) Baltimore Ravens’ General Manager Ozzie Newsome opted for the comforts of prospects from his alma mater, the Ravens picked inside linebacker CJ Mosley with the 17th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

The two-time consensus All-American was one of the finest linebackers to play for Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa (and that’s really saying something).
Upon entering the NFL, Mosley was selected to the Pro Bowl in four of his first five seasons with the Ravens, and named a second-team All-Pro in four of his first five seasons as well.
