After a career where he was a three-time All-American at Alabama, the Indianapolis Colts selected him with the 2nd overall pick in the 1987 NFL Draft, but dealt him to Buffalo as part of the three-team deal that brought Eric Dickerson to the Colts. Bennett went on to become the two-time AFC Defensive Player of the Year, and was named to five-time Pro Bowl selection, with four of those coming in the years that the Bills made it to an NFL-record four-straight Super Bowls.
