We Americans are often mocked for our positive outlook. We are constantly telling each other to have a good day, even strangers or people we encounter while out. . When asked casually how things are going we often respond with “good” or “fine”, even when they aren’t.

Well, Europeans aren’t known for that. If they’re having a crappy day, they’ll let you know about it. “Have a good day?” They’ll have whatever kind of day they want, thank you very much.
