Steven Spielberg

Film directors are often struggling artists who mope around Hollywood struggling to find someone to produce their movie. Once upon a time that was Steven Spielberg too, but not today. These days Spielberg is one of the most famous and beloved film directors of all-time.

Spielberg’s first hit was Jaws in 1975, but has since gone on to direct blockbuster hits including, E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the Indiana Jones films, Saving Private Ryan, Jurassic Park, and so many more. Today he’s worth an estimated $3.7 billion. So much for being a starving artist.
