George Michael

George Michael is one of the best-selling musicians of all-time despite having his career cut tragically short. Michael earned fame in the 1980s as half of the British duo Wham!, who were famous for their song “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” and “Last Christmas.”

Post-Wham! Michael had a very successful solo career that started with his debut album Faith in 1989. He won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year that year. In total, Michael won two Grammy’s and had eight number one songs on the US Billboard Hot 100. He died in 2016.
