After he finished with the second-most career receiving yards in Penn State history, the Arizona Cardinals drafted wide receiver Bryant Johnson with their first round pick in the 2003 NFL Draft, thinking they’d add him to their duo of Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin, giving them an unstoppable trio of receivers.

But even after five seasons in Arizona, the proverbial light switch just never went on for Johnson, despite having two of the best mentors at wide receiver anyone could ask for. He never had more than 750 yards receiving or four touchdowns in his first five seasons there.
