At 6’4 and over 210lbs, Reggie Williams from the University of Washington was a can’t-miss pick. The first-team All-Pac 10 selection in 2002 and 2003 earned All-American honors in 2002 as well. The Jacksonville Jaguars took Williams with the 9th overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, only to watch him become a complete dud at the professional level.
Williams had 35 or less catches in each of his first two seasons in the NFL (and had more fumbles than touchdown catches over his first two years), and after continuing to be a disappointment, he eventually lost favor among his teammates and coaches. By the end of the 2008 season, Williams was out of the NFL.
