Justin Blackmon looked exactly like what you’d want from a receiver when he was actually playing football. The problem was, everything he was doing off the field — when he wasn’t playing football — completely derailed his NFL career. Blackmon looked like a hit in his rookie season in 2012 with the Jacksonville Jaguars, going for 865 yards and five receiving touchdowns.
But then, his substance abuse issues came, and his NFL career went. After playing four games in 2013, just his second season in the NFL, Blackmon was hit with suspension after suspension for violating NFL policies around substance usage. He never played another NFL game since.
