3. Jeep Wrangler
Jeep fans may love the classic Wrangler but this vehicle shows no love for the environment or drivers’ pockets, based on its poor fuel economy rating. The SUV’s reliability ranking from Consumer Reports has been consistently declining for almost 10 years. Consumer Reports listed it as the worst two-row mid-sized SUV of 2019. In 2014, the publication said it had the “worst value” in its category, pointing out that the Wrangler was “hard-riding, ponderous, uncomfortable and unreliable.”
J.D. Power reviewed 11 compact sport utility vehicles in 2019 and the Wrangler came in last for dependability. What’s more, the Jeep Wrangler is very noisy on the highway and is not suitable for everyday use. And of course, there are the famous steering woes that drivers have been complaining about for years – also known as the death wobble. Take it for a test drive before you buy.
