Volvo’s XC90 has twice being named Motor Trend’s SUV of the Year. This large SUV is cleverly designed and does have a spacious interior, including a third row, but not everyone is a fan. It gets slammed for its shameful fuel economy rating. Electrical issues and problems with the infotainment system are also on the list of complaints. Of course, servicing and repairs are pricey too. This vehicle must be an auto-mechanic’s dream.

At least it has an impressive list of features, making this one of the safest SUVs, and even the basic XC90 offers Volvo’s trademark enjoyable driving experience, but many feel this isn’t enough to justify the premium price of this midsize SUV.
