It took a team effort for the “Bad Boy” Pistons to earn their nickname, but it wouldn’t have been possible without their ringleader, Bill Laimbeer. His nicknames over the years included, “The Prince of Darkness”, “Street Thug”, and the “Ax Murderer.”

Laimbeer notably started fights with Robert Parrish, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, and was the main instigator of the Jordan Rules, which involved hacking Michael Jordan to pieces every time he drove to the basket. Laimbeer also helped popularize flopping in the league.
