There was a time when Darrelle Revis erased wide receivers from a game to the extent where people joked that the wide receivers he covered would be “lost on Revis Island.” The seven-time Pro Bowl selection was named a first-team All-Pro four times in his career, and universally considered the best cornerback in the game for a short period of time, when he played for the New York Jets. He also won a Super Bowl as a member of the New England Patriots after the 2014 season. But Revis’ career fell apart quickly after said Super Bowl win, as he was out of the NFL by the end of the 2016 season.
