Did you know that Thomas was once seen as being on more or less the same level as Myles Garrett? It’s hard to believe now, huh? While Garrett has started to take off, two years after being drafted, Thomas has become a complete afterthought on San Francisco’s defense.

After just three sacks as a rookie, Thomas had one in 2018. He played in all 16 games and started 13, so there’s no excuse for such a profound lack of productivity other than that Thomas simply isn’t that good. As the third overall pick in the draft in 2017, Thomas has a chance to go down as one of the biggest non-quarterback busts of all-time.
