The only time Mark Madsen got any notoriety as a member of the championship-winning Los Angeles Lakers in 2001 and 2002, was when he would enthusiastically bust out his terrible dance moves during the Lakers’ victory parades. Otherwise, he was a firm fixture on the Lakers’ bench, averaging 2.9 ppg and 2.5 rpg during his tenure in Los Angeles.

As a member of the Lakers title teams, Madsen logged 58 minutes in the playoffs and scored as many points (5) as fouls. After his uneventful NBA career, Madsen went into coaching. In 2013, after two seasons coaching in the D-League, Madsen was promoted to a player development position with the Lakers.
