Over his first two seasons in the NFL, running back Chris Johnson established himself as one of the league’s great young running backs. In 2009, Johnson set the NFL record for most total scrimmage yards in one month (he had 968 yards in the month of November) and most total scrimmage yards in one single season (2,509). But while he did run for one thousand yards for the next four consecutive seasons, his average yards per carry and touchdown totals dropped off. After the 2013 season, the Tennessee Titans parted ways with Johnson. He has yet to play all 16 games in a season ever since.
