After becoming one of the founding members of “Phi Slama Jama” at the University of Houston, Clyde “The Glide” Drexler went on to become a 10-time All-Star in the NBA, as a member of the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets. He won his first and only NBA title as a member of the latter in 1995.

After retiring as a player in 1998, Drexler coached at his alma mater between 1998 and 2000, before retiring from basketball for good. He and three of his siblings run a chain of family barbecue restaurants in Houston called Drexler’s World Famous BBQ & Grill, and does a little bit of Real Estate investing with his company Drexler Holdings LLC.
