“King James” didn’t take very long to make an impression in the NBA. He scored 25 points in his first professional game against the Sacramento Kings. He finished the season averaging 20.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game, which lead to him being named Rookie of the Year. He was the first Cavalier to win rookie of the year, and only the third player in NBA history — joining Michael Jordan and Oscar Robertson — to average at least 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in his rookie year.
