LeBron James would have been the most highly recruited high school prospect in the history of college basketball. But, because the current “one and done” rule wasn’t implemented until 2006, LeBron skipped college, and went straight from high school to the NBA. He recently revealed that if he had gone to college, he would have attended Ohio State University. LeBron’s high school coach, Dru Joyce, also mentioned that the University of North Carolina recruited LeBron just as strongly as Ohio State did, and given LeBron’s idolization of Michael Jordan, UNC would have been a strong possibility too.
