If this were anyone else, you’d be surprised. But it’s J.R. Smith, so in some weird way, this feels normal. And that’s scary… In 2013, J.R. dropped $450,000 on this 13,000 pound armored vehicle. It’s well known that J.R.’s questionable shot selection gets him a ton of criticism, but has it gotten so bad that he needs a military grade (anti-grenade) assault vehicle? On the other hand, maybe the better question is why are civilians allowed to purchase this military vehicle?
