Nobody can ever say that Lenny Dykstra wasn’t willing to push any ethical boundaries he could, during his days as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies. One of his former business partners sued Dykstra, after his playing days were over, alleging that Dykstra used steroids during his playing days, and told said partner to place bets on Phillies games during the 1990’s. In 2015, Dykstra also revealed to Colin Cowherd that he paid $500,000 to a team of private investigators to dig up dirt on MLB umpires, so that they would call balls and strikes favorably for him when he was up at bat.
