Ryan Braun

In late 2011, Ryan Braun tested positive for an elevated level of testosterone caused by a performance-enhancing drug, and was staring down the barrel of a 50-game suspension. Braun initially won the appeal on a technicality, but was later suspended for 65 games after being linked to the Biogenesis clinic that was a cornerstone of baseball’s PED epidemic. In between those two incidents, Braun trashed Dino Laurenzi Jr., the collector of Braun’s original urine sample (for the drug test), going around to other baseball players and accusing Laurenzi of having anti-semitic motives (Braun is Jewish). The fact that Braun was eventually exposed as a cheater only makes his accusations that much worse.
