Easily the most infamous name on this list, few people are strangers to the rise and fall of Johnny “money” Manziel. In 2012, Manziel became the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy. But that foray into fame was the first steps to Manziel’s incredible fall from grace. While courting a number of controversies off the field the following season, the Cleveland Browns selected Manziel with the 22nd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Manziel’s struggles continued in Cleveland, as he frustrated the organization and his teammates with his lack of commitment to being a professional, and numerous whispers of his over-the-top partying. The Browns cut bait with Manziel after just two seasons, as more and more reports came out about Manziel’s addiction problems.
