Among the more forgotten names in Heisman Trophy history, Gino Toretta arrived at the University of Miami as an unheralded prospect. But Toretta led the Hurricanes to a co-national championship in 1991, and then a Sugar Bowl appearance after the 1992 season, which was effectively the national championship.

But despite all of that, Toretta wasn’t taken until the 7thround of the 1993 NFL Draft, and bounced around five NFL teams in his five seasons, throwing a grand total of 16 passes in his NFL career.
