We tend to forget that the venerated “Head Ball Coach” was both a Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback at his alma mater (the University of Florida), but the starting quarterback of one of the worst teams in NFL history. Stephen Orr Spurrier won the 1966 Heisman Trophy after leading his Gators to one of the best finishes in school history.

But after being taken with the third overall pick in the 1967 NFL Draft, Spurrier not only threw less than five passes in three of his first five seasons in the NFL, but eventually went 0-14 for the infamous 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the first (modern) NFL team to finish winless on the season.
