Former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber amassed 10,449 rushing yards, and millions of dollars, over his 10-year NFL career. After retiring Barber landed a nice gig at NBC Sports, but quickly lost his job after rumors of an affair with a 23-year old intern became public.

In a 2011 issue of Sports Illustrated, Barber described hiding out with his mistress in his agent’s attic so that he would not get caught. At the time, Barber’s wife was 8-months pregnant. Stay classy Tiki!

Tiki barber net worth: 14 million. Not sure what cheating on your wife has to do with money…

Mike Vick net worth:15 million. He didn’t lose money for going to jail other then restitutions payed to the falcons and the millions he donated to animal rights awareness groups. That’s not how prison works. Also his financial advisors stole money and just went to prison and she’ll be there a lot longer then him.

Write the article that’s there, don’t use it to qualify character based on wishy washy research and hateful logic. News is the truth not your grubby little opinion. And for the love of good check your facts.

Some of the contracts were never fully paid as in Michael Vick…he didn’t play the full term of the contract so the millions the contract was for was never realized. This is not an excuse for the behavior that led to the loss of the position or the money for any of the players mentioned but to use misleading headlines is a sign of being a pos.

Now I know why he was such a Tom Brady detractor. With no evidence in hand this piece of crap claimed Brady was guilty. I hope he loses his football analyst gig since he sucks. Just so you know Brady is innocent.

Money or energy from money effects all people… Many lottery winners end up worse off than they started after a few years… More black players in the NFL, not about race, it is about lack of fiscal education in our school systems and families. Most Americans carry over $15,000 in credit card debt, not to mention home and car debt while our government models the same fiscal irresponsibility. A reason many with more money create more fiscal irresponsibility. Ever wonder why two people with only a thousand dollars can create two completely different situations, based mostly on fiscal education… and yes some luck.

The NFL players union should require rookies to place 50% of their money into a 10 year trust. These guys go broke because they receive millions of dollars during the most immature stage of their lives. It’s easy for those of us on the outside looking in, but let’s imagine the pressure and temptation of being a 21yr old stud with a $10M signing bonus free to spend it as you will, women throwing themselves at you and with no one to guide you! It’s a recipe for disaster.. SMH….most of these guys self destruct because they just don’t have the maturity and character to handle sudden fortune and fame!

#13 – It REALLY didn’t help that, in regards to hiding out in the attic, Barber actually had the gall to compare himself to Anne Frank.

#7 – The prison pay didn’t help much, but I imagine the significant money he’s made since returning to the NFL did.

#1 – Can’t really separate the two, since the robbery was him getting back stuff he sold to pay off the civil try.

The racism in these comments is absolutely disgusting. Seeing as the vast majority of players in the NFL are black, the vast majority of players with problems will also be black.

And it’s ironic that those protesting the loudest about the names of the players, their manner of speaking, etc. can’t write to save their own miserable little narrow-minded lives. Or figure out the proper usage of to or too, their, there or they’re and other commonly used words.

The difference is many of you are willfully ignorant and not the product of inferior education opportunities and shaped by a culture that speaks a patois that is rapidly becoming accepted as a dalect of American English, much like Southern American English has been.

Johnny Unitas is a shocker. Not a case of an over inflated organ, just terrible business decisions. I recall reading William Perry (Chicago Bears Refrigerator 1985) had a huge brick home in South Carolina. He ended up selling it because the taxes were killing him. He was working as a brick layer/mason. He at least bailed out with his skin.

He is suspected of com I ting multiple murders dating back to his freshman year of college. Even if CTE is a factor, Aaron Hernandez was committing violent felonies as a minor. Regardless , do you think CTE is a valid defense for shooting a man in the head because he was talking to people that Hernandez “didn’t like” , in a night club???? WHY don’t you do a little research and realize that Hernandezs case is a particularly weak one to bring up the issue of CTE….O.J. Would probably be a better example to use, but either way, what case studies have shown long term valid treatment for such conditions??? Oh wait there are not any…. So best case scenario you can you those 2 dirtbags as Guinea Pigs from their respective prison cells, because even with treatment I think most experts would agree that both men would be EXTREMELY high risk to re-offend… And even if they were not they straight up violently murdered AT LEAST 2 ppl each as far as I’m comcerned…. Sure they haven’t been convicted of all these crimes , but if someone put a gun to my head and said over under on murderes committed by Hernandez and The Juice @ 4 ….. I would say OVER with the quickness and proceed with living ….

I’m surprised you didn’t come straight out and blame whitey for these blacks filing bankruptcy for their fiscal irresponsibility and in some cases inability to keep a certain organ in their pants and fathering multiple children by multiple “mothers”.

The NFLPA bring in former player’s who have or had money issue’s or drug problem to give advise to the young player’s so this issue can stop. I think this new generation of player’s may seem like they waste money; but there very smart and have seen so many 30 for 30 film’s about player’s wasting money.
