To honor Holly’s historic upset of Ronda Rousey in UFC 193, the Albuquerque City Council declared November “Holly Holm Month.” On top of that, the city celebrated her return to New Mexico with an epic parade and celebration. Reporters in attendance estimate at least 20,000 people showed up to honor the hometown hero. Holm was driven around several blocks in the city’s downtown area where she was greeted by fans of all ages.
