When the Baltimore Ravens acquired quarterback Steve McNair from the Tennessee Titans, members of the Ravens’ defense were excited that they’d finally have a quarterback who they thought could be at least one or two touchdowns on the board each game… or so they thought, anyway. After leading the Ravens to a 13-3 record in the regular seasons, McNair resembled many of his predecessors in Baltimore, putting up a pedestrian stat line of 18-29 for 173 yards and two interceptions. Worst of all, despite the fact that Baltimore held Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts without a touchdown, they still lost; McNair could only lead the Ravens to two field goals themselves, so the Ravens lost by a score of 15-6.
