We tend to forget how the Dallas Cowboys struggled to find a quarterback in the immediate post-Troy Aikman era. Between 2000 and 2005, the Cowboys failed to make the playoffs in five of those six seasons. In their one lone playoff appearance (in January of 2004), they had quarterback Quincy Carter under center… and it wasn’t pretty. Carter went 21-36 for 154 yards, while throwing an interception and getting sacked three times. As you might expect, the Cowboys got pasted by the Carolina Panthers by a 29-10 score, and the Cowboys parted ways with Carter after that game.
