2000: Dan Marino, Miami Dolphins
There are literally dozens of moments that Miami Dolphins fans could fondly look back on, when it comes to the Hall of Fame career of Dan Marino. But his performance in the last football game he every played is definitely at the bottom of the list of such moments. In the 2000 AFC Divisional playoffs against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Marino started the game by going 0-for-7 on passing attempts, throwing two interceptions, being sacked twice, and losing one fumble. Marino didn’t complete a pass until midway through the second quarter of the game, and by that time, the Dolphins were looking up at a 38-0 deficit. He was eventually benched in favor of backup Damon Huard, who didn’t fare much better. The Jaguars won the game by a 62-7 score, and Marino retired shortly after that game.
