Running back Darren Sproles is a living testament to the idea of “it’s not the size of the dog in the fight; it’s the size of the fight in the dog.” Despite a prolific career at Kansas State University, Sproles fell to the 130th pick (in the 4th round) of the 2005 NFL Draft, mostly because teams couldn’t get past his lack of size (5’6 and 190lbs). But the dual-threat running back became one of the most versatile weapons in the NFL, as a runner, pass catcher, and kick returner. In 2011, he set an NFL record with 2,696 yards, and was named to the Pro Bowl three straight times between 2014 and 2016. Sproles will turn 35 years old this summer, and is still playing in the NFL
