Jerry Krause vs. Michael Jordan
Everyone around the league revered Michael Jordan, and many people around the basketball world realized that they might be watching the greatest basketball player of all time. But Chicago Bulls owner Jerry Krause believed that he was the kingmaker in Chicago, and that Jordan didn’t deserve as much credit as he was getting, especially considering how little Krause perceived as receiving himself. Krause’s constant threat to tinker with the roster, including his public admiration for European star Toni Kukoc, and the very real threats to trade Scottie Pippen, constantly angered Jordan. Some people believe that Jordan wanted to return to the NBA after winning his sixth title, but didn’t want to return to the Bulls because of his disdain for Krause.
