Chipper Jones was such a fearsome hitter in his prime that pitchers started pitching around him when the game was on the line. The two-time Silver Slugger award recipient — given to the best offensive player at their respective position in each League — ended his career with a batting average over .300 (.303), and is currently ranked second in MLB history for most RBI by a switch-hitter. He could basically do it all at the plate. In 1999, Jones won the National League MVP award after becoming the first player with a batting average over .300, more than 40 home runs, 100 RBI, 40 doubles, 100 walks, and 100 runs in a single season.
