10. Von Miller’s “strip sack” of Cam Newton in Super Bowl 50
In Super Bowl 50, Cam Newton had the opportunity to add to his incredible MVP season. His Carolina Panthers had the ball on their own 24-yard line with less than five minutes left in the game, trailing by seven points. That’s the type of scenario that little kids with NFL aspirations dream of. But on the third play of said drive, Broncos linebacker Von Miller stripped the ball from Newton’s possession, causing a fumble. The ball bounced around near Newton’s feet, with several camera angles showing what looked like Newton hesitating to jump on the loose ball. Instead, Denver recovered said fumble, and scored the nail-in-the-coffin touchdowns on that drive, giving them a 24-10 lead. That ended up being the final score of the game. Newton might’ve been the league MVP that year, but Von Miller ended up being named MVP of the Super Bowl.
