2016: Dragan Bender
With the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, the Phoenix Suns took Croatian big man Dragan Bender, who played professionally for respected franchise Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv in Israel. So far, Bender has been an unmitigated flop in the NBA, averaging 3.4 points per game and 2.4 rebounds. Now, the proverbial jury is still out with him, considering he just turned 20 years old, right before Thanksgiving of 2017. But you have to think that the Suns will look back at this pick and wish they took someone else, like Jamal Murray (who went 7th overall) or Thon Maker (10th overall) or even Buddy Hield (6th overall).
