10. Justin Houston, LB, Chiefs — $23.5 million
Justin Houston recorded 22 sacks in 2014, the second highest total in NFL history (just 1/2 sack short of Michael Strahan’s record). The Kansas City Chiefs rewarded Houston with a six-year, $101 million contract that offseason, making him the highest paid linebacker in the NFL at the time. As part of that deal, Houston will be making $23.5 million this season, even though he’s missed much of the year recovering from a torn-ACL injury that he sustained in February of 2016.
