After raking in over $31.7 million in earnings in 2015, Russell Wilson’s “in-hand” income from the Seattle Seahawks actually drops down to $12.34 million in 2016. But, before you worry about the $20 million pay cut, you can take solace in the fact that he’s making another $10 million in earnings through his various endorsement deals with companies which include — Bose, Microsoft, Braun, Alaska Airlines, Nike, and Wilson (the athletics apparel company). Not too bad for a quarterback who was drafted in the third round because GM’s thought his lack of size was a major issue (Wilson is listed as 5-foot-11).
