Yet Brees actually tops the list of NFL player-earnings in both areas. In 2016, the New Orleans Saints are paying Brees a total of $31.25 million, while companies like Wrangler, Advocare, Verizon, Nike, Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, and PepsiCo combine to pay him another $12 million in endorsement revenue. That financial gravy train may not let up anytime soon, either, as Brees leads the NFL in passing yards to date, and is on pace for his NFL-record fifth season with more than 5,000 yards passing.
