Hate is a very strong word. But that is exactly what some college basketball fans feel towards certain players. Anyone who has sat in the stands next to screaming college students, knows just how intense things can get. Especially in heated rivalries like Duke and North Carolina, or Kentucky and Louisville.
Here is a look at the 16 most hated college basketball players of all-time. If you think we left someone off the list, hit up the comment section below and give us your reasons.
Eric Devendorf (Syracuse)
When it comes to Eric Devendorf, it’s pretty easy to see why opponents and fans despised him. The Syracuse guard was perhaps one of the most hated players in the history of Syracuse basketball, because of his combination of on-the-court attitude, relentless trash-talking, and off-the-court transgressions. During his four years at Syracuse, from 2006 to 2009, he was the guy that everyone outside of Syracuse loved to hate. He constantly played with a scowl on his face. He was fond of mixing it up with opposing players and fans, whenever he got the chance.
