Durant, Curry, Green
Kevin Durant needed a change of scenery to final win an NBA title. Steph Curry and Draymond Green, who had won a previous title, needed Durant to help them achieve their second. Only one season together, the big 3 in Golden State has unknown potential. Golden State could win the NBA title every season the three are together, as the Warriors have few – if any – weaknesses. Curry continues to be the best shooting guard in the Association, and he averaged 25.3 ppg in 2016-17. Durant added 25.1, while Green tallied 10.2. But it was Green’s defensive work and his ability to clean up the glass that made him such a vital player for the Warriors. Green’s offensive production may be underrated. He averaged the most assists a game for Golden State and with the trio still intact, the Warriors are favored to win the championship again in 2017-18.
