Olajuwon, Horry, Drexler
The Rockets’ big 3 of Hakeem Olajuwon, Robert Horry and Clyde Drexler hooked up in February 1995. With the trade deadline approaching, the Rockets acquired Drexler and the team won an unlikely second straight NBA title. Olajuwon averaged 27.8 ppg and 10.8 rebounds. Drexler tallied over 21 ppg once he arrived and Horry added 10.2 ppg. While Olajuwon and Drexler were the two stars, Horry was a major role player that accentuated the other two. The trio was only together for a season and a half, but they made their mark during Houston’s most successful NBA period.
