There might not be a more intimidating defensive back in all the NFL than Kam Chancellor. A cornerstone of Seattle’s vaunted “Legion of Boom” secondary, Chancellor is the enforcer who helps set the tone of physicality that the unit plays with each week. Chancellor’s teammates will tell you, to a man, that Chancellor’s vicious hit on Demaryius Thomas in Super Bowl XLVIII, which was the Broncos first completion of the game, set the tone for the rest of evening. After that play, the Broncos receivers ran their routes tentatively for the rest of the game, out of fear of getting hit by Seattle defenders, leading to the Seahawks’ lopsided Super Bowl win.
