Kevin Durant was a stud from the moment he stepped foot on the Texas Longhorns’ basketball court. The 6ft 9in forward looked awkward as a teenage basketball phenomenon, but his shooting was anything but strange. Durant averaged 25.8 ppg in his one and only season with Texas. He led the Longhorns to a 25-10 record and became one of the most promising young basketball talents in the process. Although he would go on to win far more awards as an NBA player, Durant still won numerous accolades in his one season at Texas. A consensus All-American, Durant was voted as the Big 12 Player of the Year and the National College Player of the Year. Not bad for playing just one season of NCAA basketball.
