Even though many thought that Charlotte getting Malik Monk with the 11th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft was a total steal, it turned out to instead be a total disaster. Monk was clearly dejected after being taken by the Hornets (he was hoping to be taken by the New York Knicks), and played like it all season long.

The dynamic scorer didn’t start in a single game for Charlotte all year, and shot only 36% from from the floor. He played less than 14 minutes per game, and averaged less than seven points when he did play.
